Malachi is synonymous with Chicago's hip-hop, from the 2well Entertainment label he launched, to the high energy lyrical dexterity of his flow and on stage performance. Malachi's debut group album as The Mercenaries "Battle Cry"(New Era/Ichibun), did well everywhere, especially in the midwest where it hit the Top 10 on radio stations. This success set off a career touring across the U.S and most of North America.

As things came to a hault with the group,he linked with producer Keith Felix to focus solely on artistic creation for his solo album "A Sheep Amongst Wolves" (Nu World Records).That led to a nomination during 2000 Chicago Hiphop Awards for best album of the year.This album sold on Amazon for $308.00 proving that it stands the test of time and is a 90s classic.
