Straight out of Long Island, New York, DoubleheadeR are 4 fun loving, life-long friends that have been making music together since high school. So the story goes, before DoubleheadeR, there were two bands, Common Ground (Taylor-vocals, Alex-drums and Bux-bass) and the Studio Stankers (Timmy on drums). Timmy was going to school for audio engineering, so to help get some "real world" experience, he offered to record a demo for the three peice, Common Ground. On one of the songs that they recorded, titled Volitaile, Tim sang the vocals over it, and both sides instantly saw the potential. Fast forward a few months, and they began practicing and writing songs together. The band started playing shows in the summer of 2004 and has built a huge local following since then with no label or support other than themselves and their fans. In the spring of 2006 they recorded their first EP with Producer/Engineer Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed and Cambria, The Sleeping, Straylight Run, etc.) Now, armed with a fresh EP full of catchy hooks, guitar riffs, and tons of ambition, DH is looking to take themselves and their music to the next level. They are known for their energetic live shows that showcase their passion for the music they write. And it is not uncommon to hear the crowd singing their lyrics louder than the PA system.
