简介
A versatile entertainer, EG Kight has performed around the world, and has been involved in fundraising concerts in Germany, Japan and Mexico. Kight takes great pride in representing the U.S., and she was honored to be the recipient of the 2013 Georgia Music Legend Award. Born and raised in rural Georgia, Kight still lives on the land that’s been in her family for four generations. Her roots go deep, and that comes through in her music, an americana/blues/country hybrid that encompasses elements of jazz, gospel and pop. Considered a true vocalist, Kight has had six Blues Music Awards nominations and two Blues Blast nominations, with three for Song of the Year. Many artists have recorded her songs, and she’s had songs on two Grammy®-nominated albums, and on two blues compilations that maintained Billboard chart positions for over a year. Her songs have appeared on the Children’s Miracle Network, on Nick at Night, and on ABC Family. Kight has appeared on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion, and one song from her segment was re-broadcast on the Listener’s Choice Program three times. This album, "Trouble", is special to Kight because her mentor in the Blues, Koko Taylor, is singing a duet with her on "A Woman Can Tell". She also has Kim Forester, from the Forester Sisters on "It Takes A Mighty Good Man", and Chris Hicks, from the Marshall Tucker Band on "Your Love Looks Good On Me". This is a fun, Blues CD that is guaranteed to lift your spirits!
