This song is part of the anti-bullying system POWERFUL, developed by Alicia Thomas-Woolf. Specifically developed for three year olds and up, the system comprises of three parts: the song, the accompanying book and the actions, all of which are required to powerfully unleash a child’s self-confidence and teach them HOW to work with negative feelings that tear down their self-confidence. The words in the book and actions song embed Neuro Linguistic Programming language, while the actions combine a simple NLP process together with power poses; the combination of language and energetic, specialised and purposeful movement changes both chemistry in the brain as well as reframing negative experiences in the mind, enabling the child to feel powerful inside and able to deal with past and future negative experiences. Just listening to the song alone will not have the effect that the whole system does, although it is fun to listen to and sing along with! The book 'Powerful' will be published in 2016 by ada enup and a Youtube video will be put up around the same time, to show parents how to present the system to their children.
