This the first album I have ever recorded which I started almost 3 years ago, when I was 17. This is my attempt to bring closure to things that everyone fears in life and try to relate to the things others face to let them know they are not alone. Everything on this album was recorded, published, and produced by myself, William Parks. I started studying saxophone in 2007, starting on the alto saxophone and then also learning the soprano saxophone. I took lessons with Dr. Ira Raibon, a musician himself, learning saxophone as well as guitar until 2014 when I began recording some ideas with Dr. Raibon, who became a mentor for me throughout this process. He started by giving me many singing exercises because I had never sang into a mic before, which gave me a great deal more confidence in my singing level. From there I wrote full songs with the help of Dr. Raibon, who taught me how to produce and record my own music. He also taught me how the music business works and how to best navigate it. His goal was to "put me on a path of entrepreneurship in music....bring back the Indy's, the people responsible for the greatest artist of all time! Record companies don't develop talent, they only use it." With his help I was able to record an EP that is entirely my own and well produced. A special thank you to Dr. Ira Raibon and J.A.S.
