Ether Versez is a name synonymous with innovative lyricism and infectious flows. Born and raised in a neighborhood plagued by drug abuse, gang violence and lack of ambition, he found an escape through music and created a fantasy world where he alone made the rules.

He spent his entire high school career in the scenic town of Simonstown, Cape Town, where he met the people that would groom the entertainer we now know as Sherwin "Ether Versez" Hulley. Known for his intense and captivating storytelling rhymes, he quickly gained the attention of Chiskop's General GTZ, who mentored him into becoming more than just a street emcee.

Even though he saw music as a secondary career choice, fate would bring its own obstacles which lead him from his initial dream of becoming an animator, to fully pursuing a career in music. But the road would be a lonely one. With little to no family support, he found it difficult to gain any sort of footing in the industry. Still, against all odds, he managed, through sleepless nights and hard work, to become not only a respected songwriter, but a creative producer and sound engineer as well.

His music is hailed for its lyrical intricacy and catchy sound. Some call his sound weird, most call it innovative... everyone calls it amazing.
