简介
Gigi Moto History Formed as a trio in 1993, the band earned a reputation as an outstanding live act by playing their way through the first two albums in all manner of clubs in Switzerland on the classic Ochsentour. By 1998, the band had grown to five and they started producing in their own studio. The resulting albums – "Superstar" in 2000 and "Lazy Daisy" in 2003 – were a great success. The hit singles Superstar, Baby Blue and Beautiful Loser released off these albums led to sold-out club tours, large open-air gigs and international concerts as supporting act. Added to that, they were also awarded the hot Zurich Culture Prize. In spring 2005, they released their sixth album "Love Machine" and toured the country again – this time with their kith and kin. Since 2006, Gigi Moto and Jean-Pierre von Dach have frequently performed as a duo in the intimate setting of small venues. These passionate musicians have also performed at Live at Sunset as supporting act for James Morrison, Deep Purple and others. Their audience love the versatile, wild and honest, frequently improvised style of the concerts and enjoy unvarnished, raw renditions of the music – just a guitar and a few sparse loops carrying the vocals. These concerts set the tone for the album "Lucky" in 2009. Today 2014 Gigi Moto is back with the full band album "Drive me home". A big tour with 50 concerts, good radio airplay and the press who calls it their best album will carry the band through the year. The race goes on…..
