简介
Publisher and songwriter, Megan “25 Dreams” Faux, is an extraordinarily driven concept developer whose creative talents began at an early age. She began writing songs at the early age of 14 when her song was performed at a high school play production. This experience in show business led her to crave bigger and better things. Yet life’s travels led her down another road. 25 Dreams, both then and now, had an insatiable appetite for learning. In lieu pursuing her dreams of songwriting stardom, she chose to focus on her education. By the time 25 Dreams entered the University of California at Berkeley for her freshman year, she had already earned college credit from University of California Santa Barbara and from University of California at Berkeley. She went on to graduate from UC Berkeley where she received a BA in Social Welfare. She then went on to pursue her teaching credential, administrative credential and Masters from CSU Dominguez Hills, while working as a teacher by day and waitress by night. Since then, 25 Dreams has devoted her adult life to educating children and adults alike. 25 Dreams spent most of her educational career at a high profile elementary school in Inglewood, CA. This school was touted by many dignitaries for its academic success including former President George Bush. She taught for only a few years and spent most of her career serving as a Literacy Coach. As a Literacy Coach, she made sure teachers successfully implemented the reading program. She also helped to train thousands of teachers on the research of reading instruction through the Governor's Reading Initiative and Assembly Bill 466. This aspect of her career pushed her out of her comfort zone and to another level--public speaking. She believes that stepping out of your comfort zone is the key to building character and realizing dreams. It seems her career path went hand in hand with her destiny. 25 Dreams is now the CEO of 25 Dreams Publishing Concepts “Where learning makes dreams come true.” Their mission is to create cleverly unique literary and musical concepts that touch, inform and entertain children and adults alike. She has a special place in her heart for educating and inspiring youth. In fact her entire platform is built around the concept of dreaming and inspiring children to dream the impossible dream. She believes that life is about the pursuit of dreams, no matter how big or small. Accordingly, 25 Dreams uses her songwriting powers for good. She has found a way to coalesce her two true loves music and education, as evidenced on her debut cd, Multiplication Nation. Multiplication Nation teaches children to multiply through skip counting using the likes of rock, rap, r & b, jazz, reggae pop and latin music. This cd not only sounds good but teaches to all learning modalities, introduces multiple genres of music, is standards based and includes instructions on the skip counting methodology. So the artwork is an integral part of this cd. In other words you must have It!!! All songs on Multiplication Nation were written by 25 Dreams, except for I Know My Fives which was co-written by Richard Redd. All tracks were produced by Haskel Jackson of Genesoul Productions. Multiplication Nation showcases 25 Dreams’ songwriting talents. She has proven that you don’t have to be a vocalist nor a producer to have a CD. Her creativity, talent, charisma, confidence, and writing ability has her on the fast track to stardom. 25 Dreams is a first generation American born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, whose parents migrated from Belize, a small country in Central America. 25 Dreams is the mother of two and a Mogul in the Making.
