When award winning songwriter Chris Ising set out to record his follow up to 2015’s independent chart topping album “Serenity” he knew it had to be an album of his best songwriting and memorable hooks. Working with an exceptional list of co-writers, from across Canada and the United States, “Got The Girl” delivers 14 songs that have a blend of lyrics ranging from love, heartache, family, self-discovery and life on the road. Musically “Got The Girl” has a cohesive feel throughout that perfectly captures Chris’ unique sound and style. It also features a few guest performances. “For ’Got the Girl’ I wanted to do something different from the last album and feature some good friends that would bring their own musical styles to a few of the tracks. One of those in particular is the duet with Laura Ashley “I’m Not Ready To Let Go”. I wrote the song a couple years back but it needed to wait for the right voice. When I first heard Laura I knew her voice was what the song needed.” The album kicks off with the uptempo title track and first radio single released from the album, "Got the Girl".
