Jacqueline Rose is a composer based in Brighton, UK. She has recently released two albums "Impermanent Rainbow" and "Flow" and also writes music for film and library music companies. She performs regularly in the UK as well as abroad. Saxophone and clarinet are her main instruments but she also plays piano, accordion, harmonium, flutes/whistles and a variety of percussion instruments collected globally. In total she has composed six solo albums to date and continues to write and collaborate with a range of artists. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Album Notes....... From an early age Jacqueline Rose enjoyed to improvise on the piano and was inspired to learn wind instruments. Following degree studies in Classical Music/Television, Film, Radio production and Popular Music/Sound Recording she went onto work in a number of high end audio post-production and recording studios including Westside Studios, London owned by engineer/producer team Alan Winstanley/Clive Langer, respected for their work with artists including Madness and Elvis Costello. Alongside this she worked as a session musician playing on pop recordings, instrumental music for film and TV as well as performing across London and the UK. Jacqueline Rose has also performed overseas in diverse places such as New York's Bitter End Club in Greenwich Village, the night markets of Goa, India, Australia's East Coast and WOMADelaide festival with band Azadoota, cruises in Sydney Harbour and performances across Europe including Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Germany. She appeared live on TV playing at Glastonbury Festival with Jools Holland and Billy Bragg in 2002, and has played with a range of artists in UK festivals since. She has collaborated with musicians from diverse fields of music including klezmer, flamenco, Indian raga, Columbian cumbia and Turkish makam, performing and recording on several albums. Alongside her career as a performer and composer Jacqueline Rose has been a registered Music Therapist for eleven years working with a range of client groups including children with autism and special needs, adults with neurological trauma, mental health issues and dementia. She volunteered in a Music Therapy project in Mostar, Bosnia in 2006 working with orphans and adults effected by post war trauma. Whilst living there she also became inspired by Bosnian folk music. She is also a sound practitioner and has written music for yoga, dance, therapeutic and healing use. Jacqueline Rose writes for library music companies and is currently working on a score for a Barcelona based film company. In 2014 she started a Mmus in Composition for Film and Television in London whilst continuing her work as a Music Therapist and composer. In 2017 she set up Inner Pulse Record Label.
