Pellek's new album “Ocean of Opportunity” tells the story of a lonely municipal clerk who’s spent his entire adult life recording the permits and deeds, marriages and divorces, births and deaths in the port town of Lakselv, Norway, essentially living through the experiences of others. When his wife suddenly dies and her death certificate crosses his desk he realizes as he “files her away”, the opportunities for love that he had missed and the potential personal experiences that had passed him unnoticed and unfulfilled. Years later he is diagnosed with a terminal illness and given just months to live. We follow our hero on a fantastical voyage across the seas of the Arctic Ocean at the top of the world and then, rounding Siberia, continuing down through the seas of the Pacific, along China and Japan, and finally out across to the American continent and the shores of the United States. With Pellek's famously powerful four-octave vocal range and majestic melodic song-writing this album is sure to take you on a magical and beautiful journey.
