As with many of the great French artists of chanson, Line Renaud had a very extensive career both on stage and in film, a very long career that lasted for more then five decades. She was one of the principal artists of the famous "Casino de Paris" after the Second World War and also helped the well known stage to survive after it had run into a financial crisis. Married to song writer Loulou Gasté she concentrated on his songs that she brought to international fame, but she was also a versatile interpreter of songs in English and in German. Line Renaud toured around the world, appearing in Las Vegas, Berlin, London, Tokyo and in almost every capital from the Eastern to the Western hemisphere.
