简介
My name is Marynel-Marju Kuut aka' Maryn E. Coote aka' DJ-MEK I am a singer/songwriter/producer/arranger/re-mix … etc... My former name - as also an Estonian Artist name - Marju Kuut (later Marynel-Marju Kuut), is coming from Soviet Estonia.. I recorded there over 500 songs and lot of LP's, but after i emigrated with my son, Uku, in 1980, almost all my Albums and records and recordings have been officially brutally broken.., because i became Persona Non Grata for them.., actually, i was always Persona Non Grata for them. My style was always jazzy, but also little bit funky way.. it all is from the birth... but years ago i had to sing in "all the styles in the world" (that was my profession-my-every-day-work), because in Soviet , where everything was without style.. just "porridge&cabbages" together, - nobody cared.. people's taste was mostly rock & roll.. etc.. that's why it was so difficult to explain my wishes to estonian musicians.. how do i really want the music should sound.. etc.. When i could emigrate at last from there to the West, i started writing tunes, which i couldn't do in Estonia, because there you had to finish Music Conservatory and get a diploma, that YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BE A SONGWRITER! .. so - i couldn't write there more than only 4 tunes, which never got any airplay .. :-D My first tunes in Stockholm (in the beginning of 80:s were), where i also tried to play and sing myself, were: I DON'T HAVE TO CRY.. Vision Of Estonia, One Who Cares ... etc.. We played and produced those tunes together with my son, Uku Kuut, who was just a teenager yet. After 1980 my artist name became Maryn E. Coote... .. Life took me here and there.. etc.. etc.. You can find my links to SoundCloud from CdBaby - links .... The link under Maryn E. Coote are many of my tunes and also my sons tunes & our collaboration tunes… The second link of mine at SoundCloud is " THREE in ONE" - there are uploaded tunes, what was made also in the Soviet time and after .. It might be fun to listen to there some known songs even in Estonian language..
