Lilith in Jewish Tradition, where she originated is a female demon and in the middle ages she appears in Jewish sources as the dreadful first wife of Adam. In most manifestations of her myth, Lilith represents chaos, seduction and ungodliness. Yet, in her every guise, Lilith has cast a spell on humankind. Since the beginning of time, Lilith has wandered the earth, sometimes as a succubus predator of the night, and during sleep and dreams, she seduced men who experienced nocturnal emissions, propagating demon sons, and sometimes as a demon of the night, searching for newborn children either to kidnap or strangle them. According to the Kabbalah, containing books of the Zohar, Samael, the prince of darkness and fallen angel, united with Lilith, and when she became his wife, they were called the "Beast".
