Hi everybody! I'm Rylan. It's very nice to meet you, I'd like to tell you a bit about Wallace. Wallace began about a year ago in my garage, under a different name, without a direction, with nothing. It was terrible guitar playing underneath terrible singing over top wonky drums (and truth be told, it still is). But slowly, those things began to grow. It turned into a thing, and then into a different thing, and now it is a whole separate thing, it's always changing. But Wallace is still just me writing songs in my garage, playing all the parts, being a goofball. It's just been amplified. Now there is a record. Now there is this pressure to have more people hear it than my Mother (I love you, mom). It's weird. But no matter what is going on around it, that is the heart of Wallace. Wallace is playing random chords until it sounds organized. Wallace is hitting the record button, shouting into the microphone, and not entirely hating the result. Wallace is it's own entity. Wallace isn't a band, Wallace isn't me. Wallace is the music that comes out of that garage, no matter what else is piled on around it. I write every Wallace song. I also perform every instrument on the recordings, the whole band, with the exception of the song Lady. With Lady, I had the honor of working with friends of mine that are far more talented then I, Gabi Rink and Jamie Peacon sang guest vocal parts, Carl Lamanto played bass, and Kevin Peacon played slide guitar. It was a great day and quite a lot of fun! I hope you enjoy the record. Thank you so much for your time, for listening!
