简介
Sindicato Sonico offers its public a new genre: mariachi funk ‘n roll! We try to mix the traditional rythms of the homeland of each bandmember with elements of cumbia, funk, ska and rock ‘n roll. We developed a style of our own, with a taste of spice ‘n roll, one of the thousand faces of the mestizo rock. The early Sindicato was born out of our spirit of latino-rocker-party-animals and we found a lot of inspiration in the latin rock of the eighties and the nineties –especially the Mexican and the Argentinian. Roman Santos (Mexican), Marco Bustamante (Bolivian), then decided to consolidate their project and go on with the name Sindicato Sonico. All of this happened in the beginning of September 2004 in Antwerp, a city in Belgium. This is how we started attacking!! After a while –and almost as if fallen from the sky- Juan Carlos Bonifaz (Mexican) and Aldo Aranda (also Mexican for god’s sake!) came to join our ranks . But since we just love the fun and chaos of the real latin rock, we decided to invite some more people: two saxophonists –Marcelo Moncada (Chilean) and Ruben Valle (Cuban)- and a Belgian trumpetist. A funny anecdote: quite some members of our band have been travelling all over Europe to finally meet each other in Antwerp. Sindicato Sonico is a group that loves to party, but above all, we also have a message for the world: we want to plead for more tolerance and respect in this world, because in the end we all love to party, no matter what nationality or religion we have.
