After more than 4000 hours of flying as a commercial pilot Morné eventually recorded his debut album.

Morné was born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. After school he studied for a BA degree in music at the University of Pretoria. In this time Morné got involved in the aviation industry full time and made music part time. In 2015 he met up with singer/songwriter and producer Wouter van De Venter. Together they wrote 8 of the songs on Morné's album. The album was recorded and produced at Fine Tune Studios in Langebaan South Africa. The music video of the album title "Bloutrein" is also available on youtube.
