Steven Duke's musical style has often been described by others as a mash between John Williams and Danny Elfman. He graduated from USC in 1998 with a Masters Certificate in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television, and is most at home writing for an orchestra and the piano. From the age of 9 and throughout College, Steven played classical piano, the viola, flute and alto saxophone, and performed for years in orchestras and bands, which has given him a wide range and intuitive understanding of how to write for all instruments regardless of the size of the ensemble. He is adept at writing memorable melodies and pairing them with beautiful counter melodies and grand orchestrations. Likewise, being able to create quirky and playful textures and motifs makes writing for comedy an easy and natural fit for Steven.
