“Drowning” is a rock infused ballad, that seamlessly merges sounds Hip-Hop and classic opera. This is song about a spiritual awakening. It tells the tale of a girl, once caught up in the trappings of this world, who went from feeling totally isolated to recognizing that, through God, she escaped her circumstances and found hope. Lyrically, it depicts feelings of loneliness, doubt and confusion about one’s past and purpose in life, which ultimately morph into feelings of wisdom, self-love and triumph.
