If you were to look up the word “poet” in the dictionary, the definition would go something like this, “a person possessing the gift of imagination, creation, and eloquence of expression.” Such a definition would be suitable for a trio of poets who are fueled by music, strengthened by positivity and love, and limited by nothing. Out of all the beautiful places in the world, this poetic trio hails from one specific beautiful place called the Virgin Islands. On a mission to spread a message with substance, Fareed “Ripstah” Salamah, Jose “B-Dash” Adams, and Chuave “Lively” O’Bryan decided to pay tribute to their land and their craft by respectfully donning the name “Virgin Islands’ Poetz.” Creativity, versatility, and an unorthodox style are key elements that they bring to music, while marching to the cadence of infectious beats. In poetry, it takes a special kind of artistic eye to see masterpiece potential in one single letter. In honor of the spirit of the artistic eye, the “VIPoetz” blend words with sound to create art. Sit back, relax, and open your mind to take in the literary and sonic works of the Virgin Islands’ Poetz.
