In doing so, he finds a lot of love for legendary Basement Records producer & engineer Jack Smooth aka Ron Wells. Smooth Groove is a special dedication to the man and his work and captures the mood of the early nineties: vintage jungle breaks, vibrant bouncing bass and the classic Chuck Roberts acapella. Befitting a tribute track, Ron stopped by on Soundcloud to give it the thumbs up. Dark Sun has more explicit footwork percussion at play. Using 808 drum tracks to set the vibe, Dark Sun moves through light musical spaces into ominous reese bass and Amen breaks. The result is a future jungle excursion into the upper atmosphere.
