简介
From platinum record award winning songwriter Frank Simes and performing artist and songwriter Lisa Verlo comes a new collaboration of music for preschoolers, Turner's Treehouse. Focused on introducing children to the joys of music and movement, songs such as "Tap Your Feet" and "Move Your Body" offer an opportunity for interaction and excite participation in listeners of all ages. Lisa and Frank write and record songs for film and TV. After the birth of their son, Turner, they started a collection of music for children which they have just released as Turner’s Treehouse. Lisa and Frank are also combining their talents on a Broadway bound musical "The Door". Through collaboration, production and performance of their work, they seek to dramatize an insight of aesthetic and humanitarian purpose. Frank Simes is a Grammy nominated and platinum record awarded musician, guitarist, songwriter, composer and record producer. Frank has recorded, toured, and co-written songs with such artists as Mick Jagger, Roger Daltrey, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, and David Lee Roth. His professional career began at 14 when his band, "Sunrise", released a record on RCA Victor. His band, “The Whizz Kidds,” were signed by Highland/A&M Records, and Frank’s song, “Sweet Honey,” the debut single, received national airplay. Simes worked with Martha Davis of The Motels as a songwriter, producer, and guitarist for several years and then began touring with Don Henley as a guitarist, and vocalist. Frank co-wrote "Workin' It" and "Goodbye to a River" with Henley. Simes is featured on the Inside Job DVD and continues to work with Henley today. Frank Simes toured and recorded with Mick Jagger on his Wandering Spirit album and tour, and was musical director for Stevie Nicks on her Enchanted tour. Frank Simes has also worked with Rod Stewart, Don Felder, Charlotte Church, Sylvie Vartan, Engelbert Humperdinck, David Lee Roth, Warren Zevon and Roger Waters. Frank is touring with Roger Daltrey as his musical director and guitarist. He performs on Roger Daltrey's "Moonlighting" Anthology CD and DVD and is interviewed and performs on The Who’s documentary “An Amazing Journey.” Frank has composed over 1,200 pieces of music for Paramount TV and Los Angeles Post Music. Simes also composes original guitar and piano pieces in the Modern, Baroque, and Romantic styles, some of which were recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Lisa Verlo was born in Flint Michigan to a Norwegian father and a Midwestern mother. Being raised in Strasbourg France, Manila Philippines and the great plains of South Dakota, gave Lisa a broad perspective on culture and societal concerns which finds little reciprocated understanding in our mainstream voices. Attracting attention singing a capella in Los Angeles area coffee houses, Lisa was accepted into the Screen Actors Guild for writing and performing Right or Wrong in the feature film Under Surveillance. While recording more of her original works and playing out with an eclectic group of musicians, Lisa had two songs featured in the film "Galatea's Wish" on Showtime. Performing across the country promoting her Chap book "Pieces" and her self released album "Wayward Me", Lisa toured the coffee house 'circuit' between festivals and returned to LA to record a CD of spoken word and music, with Chris Millner, titled "Home". Lisa and Frank have been collaborating ever since he played guitar on, and subsequently produced her song "High Inside".
