The next song titled, “Cloud of Dust”, written by Aaron Scherz and Rick Huckaby, is what Blankenship calls “the story of my life”. Looking back into his rear view mirror and seeing his loved ones as he leaves town, makes him wish for an alternative exit. Blankenship sings “Cloud of Dust” with a raw emotion that country music fans love to hear. His final song, “Not Bad for a Night’s Work”, written by Aaron Scherz, Troy Johnson, and Pete Sallis is a good time, honky-tonk anthem. The power in Blankenship’s voice is really able to shine as he describes a night of body shots off tight, tan tummies, passing ‘shine in the parking lot, and getting into an altercation after his buddy flirts with another man’s girlfriend.
