Kirsty was the winner of the Best New Talent Award and a finalist in Female Artist Of The Year at the most recent Country Music Awards of Australia, and also won the prestigious Toyota Star Maker Contest in 2007. Previous winners include Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan and James Blundell. Kirsty also won The Telstra Road To Tamworth’s Songwriters Award in 2006. She is the only artist to have won major awards in both of Australia’s premier country music talent searches/competitions.
