Impeller is the debut release from Chicago punk rock outfit Get Up & Go. The band formed in October of 2012. The band started when trio Rule 22, from Chicago, disbanded in 2012 after 11 years. Frontman; Tom Morris and Drummer; Todd Josefson decided to assemble a band with the intent of writing songs that were focused on melody and energy. They met Gary Crigler to play bass and Dave Klod on guitar to round out the quartet. The four quickly hammered out 7 songs and hit the studio. They recorded in February at Bombshelter Chicago with Dan Precision (88 Fingers Louie, Rise Against).
