The BRB is a group of family, friends, singers and songwriters who are actively involved in the East Coast independent music scene and who also operate Hearsay Productions, a boutique music composition and production house for TV and film. Blaire (vocals/keys/etc) works as a composer, session singer, and music supervisor for TV and film. Blaire’s brother Gray (vocals/keys/guitars/etc) has been involved in everything from international tours and studio sessions with major label recording artists, to prestigious NYC productions like Shakespeare In the Park. Blaire’s husband Wade (bass/harmonica/vocals), who first met Gray through an Afrobeat band at Princeton University, works as an intellectual property attorney in NYC. Keith (drums/percussion/vocals) does double-duty as the band’s drummer and sound engineer, and as a wireless guru by day. Members of the BRB have worked alongside or shared the stage with Garland Jeffreys, Bruce Springsteen, John Popper, Richie Sambora, Stanley Clarke, Dave Chappelle, Questlove, Les Paul, and Alicia Keys. Blaire and Gray have also co-written and performed songs with their grandfather Doc Severinsen (bandleader of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson). This recording of the Beatles' "Don't Pass Me By" is quite different from the bouncy Ringo original. It is a slower paced blues ballad.
