简介

The second album by the high lords of Futurepunk. This is 'Music to crash cars to' raised to the power of ten. A frantic, angry mix of breakbeats, guitars, synths and angry socially aware lyrics. “We’ve finally finished the record that documents a decade’s congealed psychosis. The last few years have seen us get a lot sharper as musicians and we’ve been lucky enough to work (and play) with some of our musical heroes. Our rock is heavier, our breaks are more broken, and we’ve still got something to say.” - Scott Lamb (DeathBoy) eathBoy sprung onto the UK industrial scene in the middle of 2002, where they quickly established a reputation for no-nonsense, in-your-face live performances, combining aggression and a rock-solid groove. Their potential was soon spotted and the band were signed to Wasp Factory recordings to release their debut album, “Music To Crash Cars To”. Released in early 2003, this cemented the band's style and reputation, and acted as a springboard to bigger and better gigs. Soon, the band opened for the infamous Sheep on Drugs at the Camden Underworld, followed by their first international dates: the Catalyst Festival in Toronto and the legendary Foufounes Electriques in Montréal. Returning from Canada, DeathBoy played their first London festival - Black Celebration 5 - at the Mean Fiddler (LA2), closely followed by their opening performance at Whitby X, where they played to the largest ever audience for an opening band. Moving into 2004, the band started work on their next album, while gigging up and down the country, including memorable performances supporting Icon of Coil, the Crüxshadows and Rico. They wrapped up the year by playing the Nightmare Afore Christmas festival in Edinburgh. 2005 saw work on the album step up a gear, with guest production work undertaken by John Fryer (Nine Inch Nails, HiM, Cradle of Filth) and rising alternative artist Rico. They are currently in the process of negotiating their deal for the next album, for release in early 2006. The close of the year featured performances at the Black Celebration festival (London Astoria), Whitby Gothic Weekend and the Sleazy Death festival (Birmingham). Over the next year, DeathBoy plan to take their distinctive brand of energy and vitriol to new audiences across Europe and beyond.
