Apologies for the delay. The seven Into the Green songs were written in the summer of 2012 and were inspired by the mountain view from Le Sappey. My parents had decided to adopt three sheep who managed to find their way into the story of Into the Green. Coincidentally, shortly after the songs were written the sheep did actually go missing into the forest and everyone in the village did go wandering into the woods to try and find them. I have since checked, and nothing else I have written has turned real, which is a great shame. In memory of the Garrison guitar who perished shortly after the recording of this album, due to a tragic case of its head snapping off. Also, in remembrance if Maisie, a very much loved dog (or cat…?) who lived to explore the mountains. Now you can run over the mountains ‘till the end of days! Thanks Into the Green is an album I’ve wanted to make for a long time. To put it into perspective, The Smuggler’s Tale was written in 2010! It has taken a good deal of time and patience to gather the necessary means and resources, and to find all the people who have helped me to make the album end up as I wanted it to.
