Hi there - It is with the greatest pleasure and huge satisfaction that I release this, my third Neil Anthony Album “EASY TIME” And an EASY TIME it has been. The songs and the music have flowed. An EASY TIME working with a great bunch of musicians. An EASY TIME too, mixing and producing in the studio. I hope that you will have an EASY TIME listening to this CD. As a singer songwriter releasing an album is the main game. For me putting this album together has been a 2 year project. Being my third album means that I have somewhat walked this path before. My aim has been to pay just that little more attention to detail. To get the right sound. To sing the right word. As an independent artist I am given the freedom to put together an album of songs just for you. It has been a fantastic musical journey so far and I am extremely grateful to have received recognition with Chart success on radio. I released the ‘Grey Nomads’ track as a single and it reached 23 on the National Country Tracks Top 40. The Album contains 15 tracks. 11 tracks are my own originals and there 4 ‘cover versions’ of some well-known tunes. The songs are a smooth mixture of musical flavours. Track 1 is the song ‘EASY TIME’. It’s about a day sailing on Wallis Lake. Relax and let the wind carry you on life’s journey. Don’t push against the tide unless you have too. Smooth waters can drown the things of fear we make. How would I describe my music? There is nothing surprising. It’s probably a bit country, a bit rock, a bit pop. A mixture of popular genres. Most of my songs are musically 3 or 4 chords, with verses, chorus and ‘bridge’. I try to tell a story with maybe a moral. Overall to me it’s what sounds good. It’s definitely Australian in flavour and personality. After all I am descended from a 1788 First Fleet Convict. But I don’t want to be taken too seriously. This is just my little entertainment offering to you. It’s about enjoyment, relaxing and having an EASY TIME.
