This song came out of a period of time when I was feeling deeply stuck. It's about the hope that things will change — in some moments, that conviction can be so strong, only to find that you do the exact same things and everything stays the same. The process of creating this song reflected that cyclical process. I produced and wrote the original version of the song myself but was never able to get it to a point I liked. I thought it would live in the vault forever. I showed it to my friends barking continues and yvnonah, who loved it and reproduced it, even using some of my voice memos to create the central synth that runs through the song. Sometimes, it's your community and your friends who help to pull you out of moments of stasis and help you become who you want to be, and this song is a manifestation of that.
