简介
Teja, born Andrea Loredana Teja, discovered her talent for singing at a young age, as many artists do, whilst singing along to old Celine Dion and Shania Twain albums on her living room floor. After experiencing the thrill of performing on stage for the first time at the age of 13, she realized that she no longer wanted to treat singing as a mere hobby. At Talent Unlimited High School for the Performing Arts, Teja worked with Christian Smythe to establish valuable vocal techniques, and both solo and choral repertoire. Throughout high school, Teja trained with the renown Epic Theatre Ensemble where she learned theatre and stage performance. At Lagond Music School, she collaborated with and learned from exceptionally dedicated and skilled musicians who exposed her to a side of music she would otherwise never have experienced without their guidance. In 2010, Teja teamed up with Romanian producer Adrian Stavian in Constanta, Romania to make her first single "Million," and then later in 2011 for "Drive Me Crazy." Also in 2011, Teja competed on the TV talent show The XFactor. She is currently working with two-time Grammy-winning producer/sound engineer Fran Cathcart and producer/singer KDrew on her third record in NYC. Teja is finishing up her BA in psychology at CUNY Hunter. When asked about how she handles both university and her music career she responds, “it’s a double full-time position. I knew it was going to be a challenge but I honestly cannot imagine pursuing one and not the other.” In five years she sees herself as a prominent singer in the dance music scene.
