简介
Canada’s Legendary SKA Dance Band “The Villains” toured non stop from 1980 - 1986 playing to sold out crowds of screaming and dancing fans all across Canada from Victoria, BC to St. John, NFLD. The Villains, AKA as “the Blues Brothers of Ska” and “Ska Na Na” consistently delivered relentless, sweaty dance music combined with an exciting and unpredictable stage show. With the bouncing bass lines, the relentless signature ska rhythm guitar sound and the melodic R & B sax solos driving the band, it was hard not to love those Villains. (Ska is a form of up-tempo Reggae mixed with R & B) Few bands have received such rave reviews and media attention as the Villains garnered on their Ska Crusades across Canada. The band was founded by Steve Duncan (Count Steve) Vocals & Steel Drums and Scottish Sax player Tom Perry who were joined by UK band members: Guitarist / Songwriter / Vocals - Dave Neal, Bass Player / Vocals - Tom Robertson and Drummer Steve Bye who all immigrated to Canada. The Villains stopped touring (did not break up!) in 1986. This circa 1980\'s 4 song vinyl EP is an out of print collectors item available here on CD directly recorded from vinyl master or as MP3 downloads. Skinhead Records is an indie label operated by the Villain\'s Management.
