CPHR DVN is Hip Hop's Ascension: Wize and Sultra formed CPHR DVN (pronounced Cypher Divine) slightly over a decade ago in Honolulu, HI. CPHR DVN’s metaphysical/alternative hip-hop is influenced by the sounds of Life, Cape Verde Islands, reggae, trip hop, Space, underground hip hop, avant-garde singers, etc.; and funkily interspersed with socio-political, positive, thought-provoking lyrics of a multidimensional nature designed to express love and healing. Wize’s production is an exploration of sonic boundaries within the scope of hip hop and popular music. Sultra’s angelic vocals will carry the listener off to a distant galaxy where sirens serenade and comfort lost souls. Combine this with her lyrical prowess that not many emcees are blessed to possess and you have one talented hip hop visionary. Where Sultra serenades, Wize shakes and awakens the Slumbering, while taking the listener on a journey through wormholes of self- exploration. The combination of CPHR DVN’s male and female energies provides and unique and mesmerizing listening experience, especially within the realms of the Hip Hop genre. CPHR DVN can be described as, “Hip-Hop alchemists, lyrical Magicians, and quantum dancers.” Sonically, CPHR DVN explores realms of the multidimensional universe, along with elements of psychedelia sandwiched between hard kicks and banging 808’s.
