Song Bio: Talented Singapore-born R&B singer-songwriter, Firwan Johan, returns with a new Malay-language release “Suara” (“Voice”). “Suara” laments the familiar scenario of having feelings for someone you cannot be with and the everyday emotions that reminds one of the lost relationship. It describes boundaries and secrets only the two parties would know. Built on alt-R&B synths and catchy Afrobeat pattern in the first half before blooming into a more aggressive thumps and bumps towards the end, serving a fresh and uncommon sound in Malay urban pop. The song features newcomer Ichu, who has his own proud set of music releases with features by GARD, Last Khalif and CityBoisWorldWide, on the second verse and also shares co-writing credits with Firwan. This is a follow up single after Firwan’s “Had It Better” (2021) and this time, “Suara”, is produced by brilliant producer, Danish Naufal also known as ProdbyDan, who previously worked on Firwan’s “Berita Baik” featuring Rauzan Rahman.
