简介
Andrew Shea has been learning guitar from Tony Deziel for the past 6 years and has been progressing as a songwriter/lyricist since he first picked up the guitar. The songs on his debut album, "Everything is Alright," were written mostly in 2006-2007 but some date back to as early as 2004. For many years he only played and wrote only for solo acoustic shows, but beginning in 2005 he started playing and writing for full band purposes with "Andrew W. Shea and The Detroit Meltdown." Playing everything from rocking originals, to acoustic songs, to covers of bands such as the Gorillaz, Aphex Twin, and Weezer, Andrew quickly picked up the importance of being a good front man and performer. Winning the respect of local crowds in addition to battle of band competitions in high schools, Andrew realized that a personal, fun, and high energy performance is the more important than what the performers were actually playing. He lets this concept shine through his live shows; whether he is playing a metaled out cover of "Clint Eastwood" with the Meltdown or by himself to a room of strangers at an open mic night. Whether he is on his own or accompanied by a full band, Andrew is sure to put on a fun and entertaining show. Beginning the "Everything is Alright" project in December 2006, over the past year Andrew has worked with talented musicians such as Bill Calabrese, Brett Calabrese (Guy Malone) and Dave Lasalata to turn his solo acoustic songs into full band productions.
