简介
It has been said that to talk music, makes about as much sense as trying to dance maths. And with an Alt. Rock scene saturated with bands, bios and bold statements - how does one go about explaining why Scenery is just about the coolest thing you could do to your ears at the moment. The fact that their distinctive brand of harmony-driven Power Pop has not only been making waves in all the right pools lately, but rocking some pretty big boats along the way is probably a good place to start. This coupled with the fact that they’re preposterously good-looking (on and off stage), would make for a good introduction. One could then move on to pointing out that that their (independently released) debut record is loaded with the kind of infectious foot-tapper’s that make you want to turn your stereo all the way up - so that everyone stuck in the rush-hour traffic, can share in your great music taste. Describing the record as “too cocky for pop, too much fun for anything else” would be one of those prophetical statements that would end up making you look very clever 3 months down the line, when the band is the hottest property on the market – so it might be a good idea to add that as well. One might even be tempted to go as far as saying that - as far as bands go - you’d be hard-pressed to find a group of musicians more willing to get their hands dirty and do it for themselves (as they have been doing for the last 5 years). Or maybe, taking the more personal approach, one could relay how the band has stuck together through album delays, dodgy deals and even dodgier events run by shady characters – coming out a tight-knit team of sincerely nice guys who’d help you push-start your car after the show at the drop of a hat. But why not take it from the band themselves: "You don't wanna be the last to know about this."
