The second track was the first to be written (2006), and was a request by Larriane Ollies-Smyth to transform her poem into a song. It was one of those instances where words and music come together instantly, or as some have described it, fit like a glove. The first track was written in March 2013 after the passing of Guy's StepMum, Margaret Stoker, in December 2012. So often when people are grieving they find it hard to express their thoughts, and need something to hold on to. This song aims to do both of these things. Rather than being morbid these songs are reassuring, and when they were broadcast on thevoicefm in April 2014 the audience response was unprecedented. Kathy has taken both of these songs and through her incredible voice, truly made them her own. Everyone who has heard these tracks has said that she has the ability to make each listener feel as though she is singing just to them, and that equally, the words and music were written just for them.
