简介
Solo Artist, Michelle Stewart, has primarily been living and recording music in Asia over the past six years. Her debut solo release, Sands of Time, was inspired in the northern Thai mountainside, where Stewart visited twice before finalizing the recording for all tracks in Bangkok. She collaborated with famous Thai producer, Thananat Peerayagangvanglai from DBS Studio Bangkok to complete the album, who has expressed that for him, the album contains much Asian influence, especially in Stewart's acoustic rhythms and guitar soloing. Four songs featured on the album were written in Hanoi, Vietnam, where Stewart was based from 2009-2013. Accompanying the album release is the 15-page short story and photo journal entitled "Sands of Time: The Short Story Behind... An Album I Made Almost Entirely in My Underwear," an inside look as to how the album came about, the song that inspired its creation, adventures like being thrown into a snake-infested rice field to get the cover photo, and nearly running out of gas in the middle of the jungle on one of Thailand's largest mountain passes. The story, along with lyrics, liner notes, and photos of the magical place where it was all made can all be found on her website. Stewart is the writer, composer, arranger, and musician on all tracks featured on Sands of Time, as well as the co-producer on the album. Sands of Time is Stewart's second album. Her first release, made in Hanoi in 2011, entitled "Walking On Ashes" can be found on her website.
