Cage & Co are a collaboration of musicians/singers based in North east England. They are Dave Ramshaw (Cage), Paul Harris, Nick Foister, Simon Todd, Derek Miller, Paul Robson and Joe Wealleans. Cage was once part of a duo called Crowded Nation, whose roots went back to the summer of 1985. It would take a whole new website to tell the whole story! They were formed with Nick Nation and The Cage, and recorded numerous albums between 1985 and 1991. They played live many times across North Tyneside and South Northumberland, including live on ITV with ex boxer Frank Bruno, for charity. Their closest brush with fame came in 1992 when Island records showed interest in their music. The interest proved fruitless, and the duo eventually split remaining close friends. After both working on the holiday parks across the UK, and Cage working abroad for a while, they both never stopped playing their own music to the public.

Cage went on to write music for a local theatre play, appearing in the local press and getting airplay on local radio along with Paul Moose Harris. Nick became part of an extremely popular comedy duo performing across the UK. As mentioned, they both still stay in touch, and Nick sometimes records with Cage. He was indeed featured on the 2009 CD "The Sound Of One Hand Clapping".
