简介

Sarah Stanley's soulful, often humorous songs might make you laugh, but you'll often almost cry for her heartbreak. Born into a family torn between Hawaii and Texas, she fronted popular Honolulu college bands "The Code" and the improperly named "Four Guys and a Girl". She then relocated to Los Angeles, where she sang lead for Santana protégé Marino's project, "Sweet Miser", and moved on to doing harmonies for renowned Largo band, "Steve's Main Squeeze". While enjoying success as and actor and writer, (including some sitcom deals and an HBO special) she continued to write songs, including "The Tattoo Song", which appears in the Showtime movie "Peacock Blues" and indie feature "Milemarker Forty." After some personal heartbreak, Stanley decided to focus on singing and songwriting, and has been playing to high acclaim in Los Angeles Americana clubs -- 'Taix Lounge', and 'Cinema Bar', which have nurtured the likes of Ramsey Midwood, Mike Stinson and Randy Weeks. Multi-talented Fatoak Records producer Shane McMahon took a liking to her tunes and decided to produce her debut CD. Her kick-a** dive-bar band includes McMahon, Craig Spendlove, Jay Green and Keith Carman. Sarah also does acoustic shows with the incomparable guitarist Andrew Goldenhersh, and is the house singer/songwriter for Hollywood's popular writer's showcase, "The Triangle Room." Sarah writes songs with Joe Zimmerman and Johnny Fargo. Her songs have been heard in many an independent film, and are sure to be heard in more to come.
