Singer, songwriter & producer, Robert E. Person has a vocal style that reflects traditional black gospel roots fused with rhythm & blues, classical and jazz influences. A native of Washington, DC, Robert attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). While in college, his appreciation for music was cultivated. There, he studied Music with an emphasis on vocal performance. It was at UDC where Robert met and developed long-lasting musical relationships with all of the producers on this recording. This self-produced debut CD features original compositions and arrangements of familiar hymns and gospel songs. Robert has performed throughout the Washington metropolitan area and the United States with some of the most outstanding musicians in sacred music and has lent his voice to numerous recording projects. Currently, under the direction of Maestro Kenneth Louis, Robert serves as a Cantor with the Music Ministry at Holy Comforter-Saint Cyprian Catholic Church in Washington, DC. The Call is Robert's praise offering of thanksgiving to God for all the benefits, blessings, mercies and gifts that he has received.
