This whimsical set of duo piano improvisations was performed in one afternoon session with almost no pre-performance preparation. Almost all selections were "one take" with a moderate amount of post performance editing.

The one exception is Ray Noble's "Cherokee", which Johnny and Jeff discussed beforehand and decided to perform as a jazz waltz with a different set of chord changes.

These veteran pianists sat "back to back" at Jeff's studio in North Hollywood and prepared to dual. The result is a spicy banquet of "musical noodles" containing just a few serious ingredients. Most of the time however, Johnny and Jeff kept their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks.
