Born in Dublin Ireland the eighth child in a family of ten Edwin Williamson with the encouragement of his late Mother is said to have been singing since before he could walk. Having taken the well trodden path of singing like so many before him from performing at family parties to school musicals to church choirs as a child. In his teenage years Edwin decided to take things a bit more serious and search for someone with whom he could study the art of singing and this is where the real journey began.Under the tutelage of Frank Merriman Bel Canto School Dublin Edwin was enriched with the knowledge in the art that had been passed down through five generations of teachers. As well as coaching many well know singers and actors in the art of singing his journey has taken him all over the world from east to west and from north to south of the globe performing on many stages . An accomplished composer and writer himself Edwin has won many festivals across the globe and is highly praised for his ability to sing in various languages and genres.However as the Edwin has coined the phrase Opera is to singing like what ballet is to dance.
