Make no mistake about it... This is the ground breaking hip hop project, true hip hop lovers have waited for. The only problem with this project is, that there isn't more of it. That situation will be solved in early 2012 when Java plans to drop a full LP entitled The Wordsmif. Lyrical JKD (Jeet Kune Do) is only an EP, but it's 5 songs are powerful, meaningful, fun and in the words of a big time hip hop producer, "This project is rewind worthy." Back in the glory days of hip hop Emcees who could really spit, made the listener wear out the rewind button on his or her tape player as they tried to catch the words they were saying. After killing the Gee Rock & Tha Cnd Coalition song (TRUTH BE TOLD) in 2009 Java went to work, and Lyrical JKD is the result. Java has penned a few books & 4 screenplays, Java made a return to music. Several years ago, Java was a part of a hip hop duo named, THE ROADRUNNERS. The group had only been together for a short while before they received a record deal offer from B-Boy Records in the Bronx, NY. Even though, the thought of being label mates with KRS-One, Jerry Levi and The Cold Crush Brothers was tempting, the Roadrunners ultimately decided not to sign on. A short while later, the group disbanded. He says he never really stopped writing rhymes, even while writing the books Chocolate Cherry Milk, A Friend of Nikki Sunshine's , Chocolate Cherry Milk Evolution.
