Love Keeps Going pays homage to the evolution of jazz and rhythm and blues (R&B) icons. The song transports you to 1930 on the U Street corridor also known as “Black Broadway”. The melodic tunes of from jazz clubs play where the voices of Cab Calloway, Billie Holiday and trumpeting of “The Sound of Surprise” Mr. Dizzy Gillispie echo in your ears. Next is a trip to the 1960s where music has progressed to reflect electric blues, as well as gospel and soul music. Close your eyes and hear the songs of the Civil Rights Movement. Music by artists such as Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and James Brown reflect the struggles for equality. Music is one of the few things that bring us all together where “…even when the beat stops the Love Keeps Going.”
