While songwriting has always been a passion, much of my life has been dedicated to playing the guitar. Like most guitarists, I started out playing rock and folk music. Then in my teens I fell in love with the classical guitar and decided to make that my primary instrument and musical focus. I went on to major in music and received a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance. Although I continued writing, songwriting became more of a hobby. Recently, I rediscovered my love for writing and I decided to dive in and refocus on this magnificent art. My goal is to become the best songwriter I can be. When it comes to writing songs, I tend to move across genres; I like to think that the spirit of the idea that I come up with will take me where it truly wants to go. I write from personal perspectives, but like any songwriter, I try to always be tuned in to what is happening all around me: conversations, interactions, news, Facebook posts, and of course attending workshops and studying hit songs by successful songwriters. You just never know where the next idea for a song will come from!I totally love the songwriting process and I am especially fascinated with the process of re-writing a song and taking it to the next level.
