"Golden Soul" is the debut release featuring the Lao Tizer Band (Lao Tizer-piano, Christopher Maloney-bass, Shane Gaalaas-drums, Jeff Kollman-guitar) and guest appearances by some of today’s finest musicians including David Mann-sax, Mino Cinelu-percussion and Andy Snitzer-sax, among others. This recording explores several worldly flavors while staying rooted in Lao’s signature style. "Golden Soul" blends Lao’s history as a solo performer with the new horizon of his ensemble arrangements allowing the listener a delicate combination of both to enjoy. The album is guided by renowned producer, Emmy winner and Contemporary Jazz guitar great Chieli Minucci (Special EFX), whose expertise helps to tie the project together into a truly enjoyable listening experience.
