The dark year is the 2nd album from nyc based shoe-gazer band COLOUR. Their music is ment to take the listener for a dream like echoed out ride were you can swim in the melodies you hear and get lost in the melodies you think you hear. This album features Damian Scro on bass, and he adds some punchy lows. COLOUR has made this album with their muched loved dreamy washed out guitar and synth sound that got them noticed on the 1st album, but this time around they added some NEW ORDER-ish drum beats.Not that you should, but you could dance to some of the tracks on this album. NOTE 10.4.07 the new colour record "heaven" is alomst here. just waiting on the dups! this 3rd release is the next step in dreamy niose pop. the band took a more raw vibe this time, with damian scro moving to drums from bass and having long time friend on the band steve ray corn jump on bass. so dave echo, scro, and corn, make some great niose on this record. sorry "the ice march" has been put on hold till after the release of "heaven". and will consist of rare/out takes from the all 3 albums "colour" "the dark year" and the new one "heaven" cheers, colour
