Ever enduring, ever progressing, MIC has been, is, and always will be, a band on a mission – to rock the world. While consistently staying true to its signature sound, the band continues to push its boundaries with enhanced sound, embellished vocals, and varying styles as it unleashes their 6th studio album, “6th Sense.” Reminiscent of the 70’s and early 80’s, MIC is often compared to the likes of Cheap Trick, Thin Lizzy, Keith Richards, AC/DC and KISS. Contrary to other “wannabe bands,” however, MIC sets itself apart by delivering authentic, upbeat rock. While remaining true to its roots, the band at the same time holds its own on the contemporary hard rock scene. Among diverse styles, tempos & sound, the always-present, feel-good, tipsy vibe in each riff and track are prominent & inescapable. No high or low has ever deterred M.I.C. from consistently racking up a substantial list of accomplishments. Since the band’s inception in 2004 in Chengdu, China, M.I.C. has enjoyed extensive radio airplay across continents, given live television performances broadcasted to millions, enjoyed countless reviews in international publications, and accumulated an army of undying fans who have carried the banner of MIC for over a decade. From small clubs in Japan to headlining festivals in China, MIC continues to expand its borders. Most recently, M.I.C. boasts notable performances in venues such as the renowned Richmond Centre for the Performing Arts an appearance at the famed “Blast to the Past” show. Since relocating to Toronto, Canada in 2012, the band has retained the same members, further establishing itself as a staying force in the music world. The present lineup remains as: Yvon Serre on lead guitars and vocals (Becuz, Yvon Serre Group, The Harry Straight Band), Dennis Papadatos on Bass (Natalie Cole, Loverboy, Dixie Chicks) , Emilo Meleca on drums (Skip Tracer, Scarecrow) Silvio Potito on Keyboards (Perfect Strangers), and Mike O'Neil on backup Vocals and Guitar (Wednesday). Added to the mix of the “6th Sense” album is the talent of several accomplished international players that help deliver one of MIC’s strongest albums to date.
