简介
This is a song of a love gone bad sang in duet style by two strong Detroit rock/soul based vocalists; Jeff Lehman and Kat Orlando. In this song the man cheats and is caught red-handed. The ensuing male/female scenarios that play out are brilliantly performed by Jeff and Kat. Jeff comments, "Kat did such a great job of singing this in an angry, soulful fashion I thought wow, Larry (Kat's husband) better never cheat on her or he's in for some trouble." Kat and her husband Larry are in a popular Detroit based soul/smooth jazz band called "Hidden Agenda." Providing the back drop to this song is the newly re-formed City Lights Band, now called "Jeff Lehman's City Lights" for legal reasons. The background musicians are: Jeff on co-lead vocals, keyboards, keyboard bass, background vocals, and drums, Bill Lehman (Jeff's Dad and former Bob James Trio alumni, circa 1960) on drums, Mark Szymanski on background vocals, Mark Colzani on percussion, Kat Orlando providing the other lead vocal and sax, and famed UK Jazz singer Judy Shire providing a support vocal. Judy also has a dynamite version of this song coming out as well. The song was recorded in 2009-2010 at Jeff Lehman's Sound Advice Studios in Sterling Heights and Warren Michigan. This song is from the final mix on January 31, 2010. Producer/Recording Engineer: Jeff Lehman, Mix down engineers: Kevin Holevar and Jeff Lehman. Mixed at Underground Productions, Roseville, MI. This song will appear on the first upcoming CD release by Jeff Lehman's City Lights Band which is slated for the Fall 2010. This song will be the oddball track on the CD since most of the other material will be AC pop rock based with the distinguishable tight multi-tracked background harmonies, beautiful melodies, and soulful rocking rhythms characteristic of Jeff's work. The City Lights Band was quite a strange anamoly in Detroit the early 1980s. Coming out of nowhere, with the average age of its members at 16, the group played roller rinks, ice rinks and sometimes inside of malls, pulling in crowds of up to 1500 fans. "Where are we going? To the top. What top. The very top." That was the groups motto. The band had worked hard with it's fearless leader Jeff Lehman pushing the band into more gigs and constant recording. The group played its last show on December 30, 1983 in Dearborn, MI and was broken up by the end of February 1984. On November 22, 2009 the band performed for the first time together on stage in over 25 years sounding and looking great. This show was recorded for a future live recording release. Because of ensuing interest in the band the group decided to start recording together again. Other members of the band are: Tony "Guido" Diliberti: vocals, bass, Rob "Rockdog" Lehman: vocals, lead guitar, Mark Szymanski: vocals, guitar, Mark Colzani: vocals, percussion, Craig Williams: vocals, drums. Websites for the band, and a CD slated for Fall 2010 release are in the works.
